The 2018 Chartered Institute of Marketing Awards drew all the leading companies in the country to the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, September 28. The award show instituted to celebrate the best-performing companies over the year under review has helped immensely in contributing to increasing the level of performance by the various companies.
The 2018 edition was opened by the Akwamuhene Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III – the paramount chief of the Akwamu State. He spoke extensively on the topic Ghana Beyond Aid, touching on what companies can do to benefits the entire nation in the long-term.
Awake Purified Mineral Water produced by the most decorated beverage producing company in Ghana, Kasapreko walked away with the Product of the Year award which was keenly challenged by its competitors. The bottled water was launched solely by the company to help drive charitable works, and for the past few years, the company has donated proceeds from the selling of the water to various units such as the Cardio Centre at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital and undertook social-driven projects.
After receiving the Product of the Year award, the Marketing team led by Chris Sarkodie spoke about the selfless mission of the company to use Awake Purified Mineral Water to make positive impact and change in the country, and the way forward.
A leading distributor of the bottled water based in Tema who came with the executives of Awake Purified Mineral Water expressed her excitement over what the Awake has achieved over this short space of time and promised to do more to soar higher.
